What technology does it use in its construction?
The Ravager comes in with a Dual Compound rubber arrangement as standard, with the option of two casings to suit your application. A choice of Maxxis' popular EXO casing for additional puncture protection and reinforcement, or the Silkshield model for all round puncture resistance at a lower price point. Both options come Tubeless Ready in a folding carcass.
What is the intended use?
Maxxis' Ravager has been designed as an aggressive gravel tyre, for those who have nothing but tackling technical terrain during their off road adventures and expeditions in mind. The raise square centre tread offers outstanding traction on loose over hard terrain under braking and whilst climbing, paired with the oversized cornering knobs for consistent traction in challenging turns.
Our verdict
This is a fierce gravel tyre to have in your arsenal, taking you beyond the end of the road and further up the hill side with confidence, where drop bars and thin tyres would not usualy go.
