Both options in your chosen size utilise the MaxxShield casing for the ultimate protection against flat tyres, using a combination of SilkShield bead-to-bead protection and Maxxis' Aramid Composite layer.
What is the intended use?
Predominently designed as an endurance road training tire, the Re-Fuse is better suited to mostly dry hardpack and paved surfaces thanks to its almost slick tread pattern.
Our verdict
The extremely tough construction makes the Re-Fuse ones of the most puncture resistant tyres on the market. With the reinforced carcass in mind, rolling resistance is notably higher but also make this tyre compliant across a range of surfaces.
