What technology does it use in its construction?
The Speed Terrane comes in a Dual Compound, EXO casing offering lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip whilst provided cut and abrasion resistant sidewalls. Available in a 60TPI version (Threads Per Inch) for better puncture protection, or the lighter and more compliant 120TPI offering.
What is the intended use?
Maxxis' Speed Terrane is aimed at the racing CX market. The tread pattern has been designed to provide supreme grip in technical turns, with its aggressive corner knobs paired with the paddle and file-like knurling on the centre tread, optimised for rolling efficiceny, braking and climbing traction. This tyre is better suited to hardpack to loose over hard terrain in drier conditions.
