What technology does it use in its construction?
The Mud King is available in Continental's proprietary Black Chili compound as standard for an unrivalled combination of traction, rolling speed and longevity. Two tubeless compatible casings are on offer to suit your discipine - the lightweight ProTection casing with a folding bead, an intermediate level of puncture protection and compliance, better suited towards Trail riding. Or the Apex DH, wired bead casing for the ultimate level of support and protection on the roughest of tracks.
What is the intended use?
Continental's Mud King is at home in the worst of conditions, whether thats on your local winter trail loop or on the weekend's rowdy downhill tracks. The aggressive tread breadth ensures grip in the deepest of mud, with the tall squared knobs digging in while under braking and in corners. Developed with the Atherton Race Team, the casing options on offer include narrow sizing to keep weight down and combat mud build up and frame clearance, whilst the ample spaced tread sheds debris efficiently.
