What technology does it use in its construction?
The Power Cup from Michelin comes in a range of sizes from 23mm to 28mm, with each model utilising the Gum-X compound. Available in a Tube specific, Tubeless specific and Tubular bead, the Power Cup offers a format for everyone. While the Tube specific variation comes equipped with the Aramid Shield casing, with protection locally to the crown and a 3x120TPI construction, the Tubeless model has an additional layer, resulting in a 4x120TPI assembly, teamed with the Tubeless Shield casing to combat any punctures or tears you may encounter. Finally, the race ready Tubular model features a Grip Deisgn for extras traction when cornering, married to a 2x160TPI Hi-Density Shield casing and a latex sleeve, reinforcing the balance between protection and suppleness.
What is the intended use?
Developed for Road racing and training, the Power Cup boasts speed, rolling efficiency and protection depending on the bead option chosen. The Gum-X compound provides ample grip both wet or dry, with the slick tread design delivering grip in high speed corners and long alpine descents.
